Volunteer
Harvest Thrift relies on volunteers to keep the store organized and ready for shoppers.
If you’re looking for a hands-on way to support Boaz & Ruth and serve the
Highland Park community, we’d love to have you join us.
Ways You Can Help
Volunteers help with a variety of important store tasks, including sorting donations, pricing items, organizing inventory, refreshing displays, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. Every hour you give helps us make affordable clothing, furniture, home goods, and everyday essentials available to our neighbors.
Whether you can volunteer once, come in regularly, or bring a group for a service day, your support makes a difference. Our volunteers may help with tasks like these:
-
Sorting donated clothing, furniture, household items, and accessories
-
Pricing items for the sales floor
-
Organizing racks, shelves, and displays
-
Preparing donations for resale
-
Helping keep the store clean, welcoming, and easy to shop
-
Supporting special events, sales, and donation drives
-
Assisting with other store needs as they come up
No retail experience is required. We’ll provide guidance, answer questions, and help you find a role that fits your interests and availability.
Why Volunteer?
When you volunteer at Harvest Thrift, you’re doing more than stocking shelves.
You’re supporting a store that gives useful items a second life, keeps affordable goods accessible, and helps sustain Boaz & Ruth’s work in the community.
It’s a simple, practical way to give your time, meet neighbors, and be part of something meaningful.
