Why donate to Harvest Thrift?
Your donation gives useful items a second life, keeps goods out of landfills, supports affordable shopping for neighbors, and helps sustain programs that create opportunity and hope in the community.
Do you pick up donations?
Donation pickup may be available for large items or larger donations, depending on staff capacity and scheduling. Please contact us to ask about availability.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Harvest Thrift supports Boaz & Ruth, a nonprofit organization, and your donation may be tax-deductible as allowed by law.
When can I drop off donations?
Donations may be dropped off during business hours. Please check our current hours before visiting.
What happens to donated items?
Donated items are sorted and prepared for resale at Harvest Thrift. Proceeds help support the Boaz & Ruth mission, including affordable goods, job training, supportive services, and community restoration in Highland Park.
Do you accept electronics?
We may accept small electronics or appliances that are clean and in working condition. We cannot accept items that are broken, incomplete, or unsafe to resell.
Do you accept mattresses?
We may not be able to accept mattresses, box springs, or heavily used bedding. Please contact us before donating these items.
