Harvest Thrift has always been more than a place to shop. It’s a neighborhood resource, a gathering place, and an important part of Boaz & Ruth’s work in Highland Park.
As we listened to customers, residents, and community partners, we recognized an opportunity to make the store even more useful, welcoming, and responsive to the people it serves. So, we’ve been working behind the scenes to reimagine the Harvest Thrift shopping experience, and we can’t wait to welcome the community back for our grand reopening on July 18.
A Store Designed Around Community Needs
The refreshed Harvest Thrift reflects what we’ve heard from our neighbors: shoppers want an inviting, easy-to-navigate store with a broad selection of affordable, high-quality items.
When the doors reopen, visitors will find updated branding, a completely refreshed layout, and new inventory throughout the store. From clothing and accessories to furniture, home goods, and one-of-a-kind finds, there’ll be even more to discover in a space designed to make browsing easier and more enjoyable.
We haven’t just rearranged a few shelves. We’ve created a whole new store experience shaped by our commitment to better serving Highland Park residents and the greater Richmond community.
More New Finds Means More Reasons to Visit
Part of the fun of thrift shopping is that you never know what you’ll find. Every visit brings the possibility of discovering something unexpected: a distinctive piece of furniture, the perfect outfit, a useful household essential, or a vintage treasure with a story of its own.
Our grand reopening will give shoppers the first chance to explore the refreshed space and browse newly stocked inventory throughout the store. Whether you’re furnishing a home, updating your wardrobe, shopping on a budget, or just searching for something unique, there’ll be plenty of new finds waiting for you. And because new donations arrive regularly, the store will keep changing long after reopening day.
Shopping That Strengthens the Neighborhood
Every purchase at Harvest Thrift sustains the mission of Boaz & Ruth: to create opportunities, strengthen connections, and support people in need of a second chance.
Thrift shopping also keeps usable clothing, furniture, and household goods in circulation and out of landfills. By choosing secondhand, customers can save money, reduce waste, and reinvest in the community at the same time. This combination of affordability, sustainability, and community impact is at the heart of the renewed Harvest Thrift.
Come See What’s New
We’re excited to open the doors and show our neighbors what we’ve been working on. It may be a whole new Harvest Thrift, but its purpose remains the same: connecting neighbors, creating opportunities, and giving valuable items and people a second chance.
Join us from 10 am to 2 pm on July 18 for the grand reopening of Harvest Thrift and experience the updated branding, refreshed layout, and newly stocked inventory for yourself. Come explore the new space, find something you love, and help us celebrate the next chapter of a store built to serve the community.
